The park de Sauvabelin in Lausanne is somewhere we hadn’t heard of until last week. It was a lovely sunny Sunday and we fancied a gentle stroll as we had all been poorly the week before so we packed a picnic and off we went.

We arrived quite early and already the closest parking was starting to fill up but we found a disabled spot close to the entrance of the park. We walked around the lake to the animal areas where we were really excited to see the baby rabbits hopping around and watch the pigs snuffling around up close.

The park is really pretty and after a walk around the woodland we arrived at the tower which we could climb up to reach the viewing area at the top which offers amazing views of 360 degrees!

By this time we were hungry so we stopped in a lovely sheltered picnic area and ate our lunch.

We left shortly afterwards but had the feeling we had only seen a fraction of the park so we will have to go back to explore further.
