We decided to do a walk through the vines of Lavaux around Saint Saphorin on a sunny bank holiday Monday.
We were lucky enough to find somewhere to park at the foot of the village and made our way up a very steep hill to the trail through the vines. Once up there the views were stunning and along the trail are several places to sit an admire the scenery (or catch your breath for a moment or two). There are no facilities on the way and it was a long way back to the car for members of the family needing the toilet.

We walked through the village of Rivaz and the view from the top of the hill down to the lake was beautiful. It was a good workout of a walk for us with the babies on out backs and we were in full sun so lots of sunscreen, hats and water was needed. We’re planning to go back and explore a bit more of the region soon. Information
Parking : Yes (mostly on the road so limited)
Toilets : No
Baby Change Facilities : No
Accessibility : It would be hard work pushing a pushchair but technically possible as the paths are smooth. It’s quite steep in parts.
