After a good sleep last night, we were up early this morning and ready for adventure!

Our destination was the Gorges de Taubenloch in Bienne. There is a small parking area near the beginning of the trail which was already filling up when we arrived but we were able to find a space in a shady patch. Gorges are often a bit cool so we put Elio in a little jacket and set off. We took the long way round to reach the start of the gorges which led us along a narrow path next to a raised waterway on one side and at one point we passed a little pig enclosure which Alba was very excited about.

Soon enough we reached the gorges and followed the path through the trees. It was a very easy walk and the children managed it with no complaints. We were a bit worried about having Elio in the back carrier as sometimes the paths can be narrow and low but we managed to pass everywhere today without any difficulty.

The views of the river are beautiful and we passed places where you can descend to the waters edge to paddle or picnic and there was even a grilling area offering free wood for those who, unlike us, remembered to pack some sausages or something to grill.

We were planning to keep waking until the zoological park but we saw a sign saying it was closed so we turned around and will save that for another time.

It took us about 1.5hours of easy, very beautiful and interesting walking. Well worth a visit.
