Jayland Gland - Centre de Loisirs (VD) l En

Updated: May 12, 2019

Despite living close by, we have only been to Jayland a few times since we moved here two years ago. We generally go when we have someone to look after Elio as there isn’t much there that he is able to enjoy and, if I am honest, neither of are fans of soft play places so we have to steel ourselves somewhat before a visit.

Our own feelings aside, it’s basically paradise for children with everything from ball pits to bouncy castles, trampolines, electric cars, stuff to climb on, stuff to jump on, stuff to slide down, and plenty of exciting things to explore. I also saw that they have laser games but we haven’t tried that yet.

It’s really an amazing place for children and even the smaller ones can enjoy it with a bit of help. At two years old Alba was able to get stuck in on our last visit at the weekend (sorry to any of the children she was bossing around) and Jude is always like a headless chicken when we arrive. There is plenty of space for parents to sit and a place to buy drinks and snacks. In fact I recently discovered that they have a garderie for children between the ages of 4 and 12 (advance booking mandatory) which is useful to know.

All in all it’s a great place for the children, even if Jean and I spend rather a large quantity of time looking at our watches and come home with aching heads 😃
